Ave Thakor, MD, PhD

Dr. Thakor is an interventional radiologist, translational scientist and entrepreneur. He undertook his medical training at the University of Cambridge in the UK and has completed 2 Doctoral Research degrees, 2 Masters degrees and 2 clinical subspecialty certifications in adult and pediatric interventional radiology. He has worked in Europe and Canada before coming to Stanford University in the USA, where he currently practices as an attending interventional radiologist while also running a translational laboratory. He has published over 100 scientific papers, filed several patents and has helped start, advise and strategize for several start-ups, as well as larger corporate companies. His goal is to drive clinical innovation and translation to improve patient care and outcomes across multiple disease states, in both adult and pediatric patients.
